Under the agreement, which comes into effect this year, the 2 Japanese organisations will jointly offer 9-month internship courses for students from DAU’s Nursing Faculty.  Initally, a total of 18 students who have already reached the N3 level of Japanese will be selected for this year’s programme.  The number of trainees will subsequently become between 40 and 50 each year.

The trainees will be sent to Japan to medical centres managed by NPO and Koseikai, and they will receive monthly salaries in line with the Japanese nursing staff.

During their internships, the Vietnamese students will have the opportunity to take part in 450-hour e-learning courses to enhance their professional skills and meet the Japanese standards in the nursing sector.

After finishing their internships, the students will return to Da Nang to graduate with degrees from DAU.  They will then be eligible to sit the Japanese National nursing exams for foreigners in order to obtain work permits for Japan.

On the same day, a seminar took place at DAU entitled ‘Care for the Elderly with Dementia in Japan’.  The event was attended by some Japanese experts, doctors from Da Nang-based healthcare centres, and students from DAU’s Nursing Faculty.
