A ceremony recently took place in Da Nang to mark the conclusion of the English Language Institute (ELI) cooperation project between the University of Da Nang and the University of Queensland (UQ).

Addressing the event, the Deputy Director of International Development of UQ remarked, “Over the past decade, ELI has offered English training courses for over 11,000 trainees.  In addition, the centre has organised IELTS tests for 7,000 candidates and Cambridge ESOL tests for another 3,000 or so”.

After ending their operations in the city, ELI’s remaining funds will be donated to the city’s High-quality Human Resources Development Centre in order to help the centre provide English scholarships for local employees.
