On Sunday, 236 pupils of 80 teams from robotics clubs in primary schools across Da Nang took part in the city’s Robothon Competition.  As a result, teams from Tran Cao Van, Ly Cong Uan, Le Quy Đon, Phu Dong, Duc Tri and Nguyen Du shared 1^st place.

This year’s event took ‘Internet of Things’ as its theme, and contestants made robots and programme them to collect and deliver data.

Co-organised by the municipal Department of Education and Training and the DTT-EDUSPEC Joint-Venture, this event aimed to create a useful playground for local school pupils who show a keen interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects, and robothon as a whole.

Similar contests will take place in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City on 5 and 6 November respectively.

The annual contest was first held in 2003.
