The Consulate General of Canada in Ho Chi Minh City, in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada in Ha Noi, will organize the 2016 Canada Education Fairs in Viet Nam next week.

The 8th annual event will see a record number of over 100 participating Canadian institutions, making it the largest ever of its kind in Viet Nam, the Consulate General said in a press release this week.

According to the organizers, the participating Canadian schools are among the country’s world-class institutions.

They represent the full range of education options, from kindergarten to Grade 12, college and university levels, as well as language programs.

This year, students will have the opportunity to meet with many of Canada’s leading universities such as University of Toronto, Ryerson University, University of Ottawa, Simon Fraser University, University of Alberta, University of Calgary, Western University, Concordia University, University of Manitoba, University of Saskatchewan and University of New Brunswick, to name a few.

Students and families are encouraged to take this opportunity to meet directly with Canadian institutions’ representatives and learn about Canada’s education system and study options available.

Moreover, they will have the chance to understand the visa application process and work opportunities for international students after graduation, as well as meeting and learning from alumni’s experience.

A special seminar on applying for student visas will be led by a Canadian immigration official, aimed at providing the public with transparent and clear guidance on this topic of concern.

The event is open to the public in Da Nang, Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City from October 12 to October 16, 2016.

In 2015, nearly 5,000 Vietnamese students studied in Canada, ranking Viet Nam 11th among source countries for international students.
