DA NANG Today
Published: January 24, 2017

A language exchange festival took place on 21 and 22 January in Da Nang, attracting thousands of local teachers, students and pupils.  The 2-day event was organised by the municipal Department of Education and Training.

The aim was to promote language exchange activities in local education, and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Da Nang’s recognition as a centrally-governed city on 1 January 1997 and to look towards the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Week in November.

The event featured many activities including a language skills contest, a flash mob performance featuring the national costumes of APEC members, and oral presentations about APEC member countries.

In addition, there were 21 booths showcasing the cultural values, languages, and customs of the APEC countries.
