The 23^rd annual 30 April Olympiad for Year 10 and 11 students took place at Ho Chi Minh City’s Le Hong Phong Senior High School for Gifted Students on 7 and 8 April. 

This year’s event attracted a total of over 2,000 entrants from 65 senior high schools in the southern, northern coastal and central regions, along with the highlands.  They competed in Literature, History, Geography, English, French, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Informatics.

A total of 72 pupils from Da Nang’s Le Quy Don Senior High School for Gifted Students and Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School won medals at the event.  They took 28 gold, 25 silver, and 19 bronze medals, an increase of 19 medals against last year’s event.
