Australia helps English training for the city to host APEC events
The Australian Government is funding a training programme for Da Nang's leaders and its employees to help them enhance their English language and intercultural communication skills to ensure a successful APEC year in Viet Nam.

The training course which is provided by the RMIT University Viet Nam, opened in the city on May 15 and it is being attended by 50 participants from Da Nang. It is designed to meet diverse needs of participants of different English levels and work schedules.
The Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, Mr Nguyen Cong Tien said this training course will ensure the good preparation for the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week and Da Nang’s foreign relations, as well as help to enhance and deepen the bilateral cooperation between Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, with Australia."
Australian Ambassador Craig Chittick said the Australian Government is willing to respond effectively to an emerging, practical need of Da Nang where key APEC events will take place.
“We aim to ensure that Viet Nam will succeed in hosting APEC this year,” he added.
