Robocon Viet Nam 2017 final round opens until 14 May
The final round of the 2017 Robocon Viet Nam contest, themed 'The Landing Disks', is taking place in Ninh Binh Province until 14 May.

The 6-day competition has attracted a total of 224 contestants from 32 teams from universities and junior colleges nationwide.
According to the organising board, Sao Do University in Hai Duong Province, along with Hung Yen University of Technology and Education and Lac Hong University in Dong Nai Proivince have 6 teams entering the final round each.
Each team will have 50 disks. Robots have to throw the disks at beach balls resting on 7 spots, then land the disks on 7 different heights.
The winner is the one who lands all the disks on the 7 spots or scores the most points.
The 2017 Robocon Vietnam is the 16th of its kind in the country. The winner will receive 50 million VND (2,200 USD) and 1,400 USD in cash, and will be eligible to join the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest which is expected to take place in Japan in August 2018.
