The Vietnamese team bagged 5 prizes in total.  In detail, a third prize went to Pham Huy, an 11th grader from a high school in Quang Tri Province for his prosthetics arm project.  The others were four fourth prizes in system software, chemistry and embedded software.

The Intel ISEF is the biggest international pre-college science competition, attracting some 1,800 high school students around the world every year to compete in 22 categories.
