The final round of the Da Nang Startup Runway 2017 concluded at the city’s University of Economics last Saturday.

This year’s competition had attracted around 50 teams from local universities and junior colleges, and a total of 10 outstanding teams were shortlisted for this final round.

In the end, C-TEK team won the 1^st prize of 10 million VND for their multi-purpose jacket.  In addition, a 2^nd prize of 5 million VND was given to the TOMATO team for their shopping utility application, whilst the 3^rd prize of 3 million VND went to the WHATEVER team for their project to provide essential products for pets.

Jointly organised by the University of Economics and Ireland’s Cork Institute of Technology, Da Nang Startup Runway aims to encourage participating contestants to promote their creativity in startup activities, and to take the initiative in bringing their ideas to fruition.
