Da Nang’s informatics team ranked first overall with 1 first, 1 second, 5 third, and 6 consolation prizes at the recent 23rd National Youth Informatics Contest for school pupils. 

Most notably, Year 7 pupil Dang Xuan Minh Hieu from Son Tra District’s Nguyen Van Cu Junior High School won the first prize in the category of ‘general knowledge’ for junior high school pupils.  A second prize went to Van Duc Truong Giang, a Year 6 pupil from the district’s Ly Tu Trong Junior High School, in the category of ‘innovative software integrated with hardware programming’. 

Oganised in Bac Ninh Province between 28 and 30 July, this year’s contest attracted a total of 252 contestants from 49 primary, junior, and senior high schools across the country.  The teams from Hau Giang and Bac Ninh provinces finished second and third respectively.
