On Monday, the International SuperComputing Camp (SC-Camp) 2018 is taking place at the Viet Nam-Korea Friendship Information Technology Junior College in Da Nang from 9 - 15 July.

The event, which is the first of its kind in Asia, is co-organised by the College, the Da Nang International Institute of Technology (DNIIT), and the French University of Nice Sophia Antipolis.

Themed ‘Super Computing and Distributed Systems’, the event attracts as many as 40 lecturers and experts who get involved in super calculation and supercomputing in the city and other localities nationwide.

During the 7-day event, the participants are attending seminars on supercomputing under the instruction of 3 professors from America, 4 from Europe, and 3 from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis.

In addition, they will have the opportunity to practise on supercomputers connected to supercomputing centres located in such foreign countries as Colombia, France, Luxembourg and Spain.
