On Wednesday, the Da Nang-based Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) entered into a loan agreement with the city and Khanh Hoa Province branches of the Agriculture and Rural Development Bank to build  a solar power plant.

Developed by EVNCPC, the plant will be built in Cam An Bac Commune, Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province at the cost of 1,372 billion VND.

Of this, 735 billion VND will be loaned from Agribank Da Nang and Agribank Khanh Hoa, whilst the remainder will be from EVNCPC.

The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in June 2019.

Once operational, the plant will have a total capacity of 50MW. It will provide average power output of between 87.598 GWh and 98.147 GWh to the national electricity system. In addition, the new plant will help to enrich renewable energy sources in Viet Nam.
