Winners of 2018 Eureka scientific research awards honoured
The 20th Eureka Scientific Research Awards for Students honoured 100 winning projects of 2018 at a ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City on 24 November.

At the event, there were 11 first, 11 second, 15 third, and 63 consolidation prizes presented to the winners.
The awards were given in 12 fields, including pharmaceutical chemistry technology, biotechnology and biomedical technology, intelligent technology, food technology, education, economy, engineering, agriculture, forestry and fishery, laws, planning, architecture and construction, natural resources and environment, and social affairs and humanities.
This year, the annual event attracted 903 projects submitted by 2,263 students from 106 universities and colleges across 24 provinces and cities nationwide.
The competition has been organised since 1999 by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of HCM City to encourage scientific research among students.
After 20 years, it has seen the participation of more than 20,000 students with nearly 10,000 entries.
