The 20-member Da Nang team ranked first with 1 first, 1 second, 3 third, and 4 consolation prizes at the recent 25^th National Youth Informatics Contest for primary, junior and senior high school pupils. Notably, Da Nang has topped the national contest for 4 consecutive years from 2016 to 2019.

In addition, the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang and the central province of Thua Thien - Hue finished second and third respectively at this year’s contest.

In particular, certificates of merit from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee were awarded to the Da Nang Youth Union and outstanding individuals in the city, namely teacher Thai Trung, who now works for the municipal Department of Education and Training, teacher Do Van Nho from the Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted, and teacher Nguyen Van Minh from the Doan Thi Diem Primary School.

This year’s contest took place in Dong Hoi City, the central province of Quang Binh, from 16- 18 July, attracting a combined total of 248 primary, junior, and senior high school pupils from 52 cities and provinces nationwide.

Since its debut in 1995, the event has been jointly held annually by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, the ministries of Education and Training, Information and Communications, and Science and Technology, the Viet Nam Association for Information Processing, and the Viet Nam Television.
