University of Da Nang ranks 3rd amongst 67 leading higher-education institutions in Viet Nam
According to the 2019 uniRank University Ranking recently released by the For International Colleges and Universities (4ICU), the University of Da Nang (UDN) ranked 3rd amongst a total of 67 Vietnamese higher-education institutions. The Viet Nam National University – Ha Noi (VNU-Ha Noi) topped the rankings, followed by the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
This encouraging result further confirms the prestige and quality of UDN in the Vietnamese education system. In particular, the application of the digital technologies in training, scientific research and international cooperation has caught up with the ‘technology trend 4.0’ in the world.
Over recent years, UDN has always ranked high amongst Viet Nam’s top universities. UDN has been listed into the top 500 best universities in Asia for the second year in a row according to the QS Asia University Rankings 2019. Also, the city’s university finished in the 4th place out of the 49 Vietnamese universities according to a survey conduced in 2017 by an independent research group, and ranked 6th amongst 123 Vietnamese universities according to the Webometrics rankings 2018.
uniRank is an international university ranking system that evaluates and ranks over 13,600 officially recognized universities in 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Unbiased, unaffected and independent of the data provided by the universities, UniRank's evaluation method is based on the exploitation of large data (Big data) stored on the Internet.
Ranking criteria of uniRank include: being chartered, licensed or accredited by the appropriate Vietnamese higher education-related organisation; offering at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees) and delivering courses predominantly in a traditional, face-to-face, non-distance education format.
