City-based Economics University's students win first prize of Eureka 2019
A group of students of the Da Nang University of Economics has won the first prize of the economy category at the 21st annual Eureka Scientific Research Students Awards competition for ‘Researching and applying Deep Learning in synthesising customer reviews: service issues at hotels’.
The winning group members are Tran Thi Chau Giang, Ngo Trieu Long, Nguyen Manh Dan, Truong Dinh Hoang and Nguyen An Phu under the guidance of Master Nguyen Thanh Thuy.
Organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Youth Development Science and Technology Centre, this year’s competition attracted the participation of more than 2,000 from a total of 100 universities, junior colleges, and institutes from 19 localities nationwide.
A total of about 230 prestigious scientists, experts joined the event’s judging board.
Under the completion’s rules, all students nationwide joined the competition as an individual or in groups of no more than 5.
The event’s organisers accepted research projects in 12 aspects, including pharmaceutical chemistry technology, biotechnology and biomedical technology, information technology, food technology, education, economy, engineering, agriculture, forestry and fishery, law, planning, architecture and construction, natural resources and environment, and social affairs and humanities.
Organised for the first time in 1999, the Eureka Award helps to nurture young talents in scientific research and develop highly potential projects that will help to promote to the country’s growth.
