City leader extends congratulations on Vietnamese Teachers' Day
On Tuesday, Da Nang People’s Council Chairman Nguyen Nho Trung visited and extended his congratulations to teaching staff of the Lien Chieu District-based Trieu Thi Trinh on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20 November).

Chairman Trung applauded the school’s staff for their great efforts in overcoming difficulties to gain significant achievements over the past time. He also took the opportunity to encourage them to make greater effort to get more success in the years ahead.
Besides, Mr Trung asked the Lien Chieu District authorities to earmark suitable land fund for the building of a new primary school. In addition, he highlighted the importance of developing a fund for poor pupils in this locality to help them pursue academic dream.
Also on the same day, the Hoa Vang District authorities honoured outstanding teachers in recognition of their dedication to the district’s education sector in the 2018 - 2019 academic year.
Ms Pham Ho Quynh Trang, Head of the district’s Education and Training Office, said the district’s education sector has recorded remarkable achievements over recent years. She added the quality of teaching and learning activities across the district have been significantly enhanced.
