The contest was within the framework of the ongoing Techfest Viet Nam 2019 which was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology along with the Quang Ninh Provincial  People’s Committee.

The first prize winners received a KOVA Paint Group-funded cash prize of 50 million VND, and a free trip to the innovative ecosystem in Japan. In addition, they have given a chance to attend the Mentoring/Coaching course trained by startup experts from the I.value Holding Company.

MultiGlass will present Viet Nam at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale 2020 which is scheduled to take place next May, at Hilton, San Francisco, the USA.

Created by Le Hoang Anh, a graduate from the University of Education and Technology, MultiGlass consists of 3 separate versions based on main technology platforms, namely IoT, iris recognition, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Products No 1 and 2 are exclusively for the disabled. Utilising version No 1, users can control the computer with their eyes and head gestures, whilst version No 2 allows users to control their household appliances thanks to IoT connection. Version No 3 targets more different users, including drivers. By integrating driving goggles with the transport businesses' main servers, this product analyses the eyes of the drivers and automatically send a drowsiness alert 15 minutes in advance, hereby helping the businesses monitor their drivers' operation and minimising the risk of traffic crashes involving drowsy driving.
