264 school pupils across Da Nang were honoured for their good study results in the 2019-2020 academic year at Friday's ceremony hosted by the Da Nang Department of Education and Training 

The honourees included 35 preschool pupils, and 184 others from primary to senior high schools, plus 45 children of social policy families who overcome their difficulties to gain good academic results.

Over the past academic year, the city's education and training sector has made every effort to renew its management work and teaching methods.

In particular, 2,745 nine^th and twelve^th graders won 395 first, 526 second, 816 third, and 972 commendation prizes in the 2020 Viet Nam's National Contest for Excellent Students. 

Also, local pupils claimed 10 first, 18 second, 21 third and 30 fourth prizes in the Da Nang Science and Technology Innovation Contest for the 2019 - 2020 academic year.

Besides, school pupils in Da Nang bagged one second and one consolation prizes in the national level of the 49^th Universal Postal Union (UPU) International Letter-Writing Contest.
