The municipal-level Youth Informatics Contest 2020 is attracting 416 pupils from primary, junior and senior high schools across Da Nang.

Co-organised by the municipal departments of Education and Training, Information and Communications, and Science and Technology, and the Da Nang Telecommunications and Softech companies, the FPT Polytechnic, and the Duy Tan University, the competion is taking place at the Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted and Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School on Wednesday and Thursday.

Under the rules, the entrants compete in the categories of general knowledge, innovative software development, hardware programming and a Robotics competition.

Prize winners will be selected for the city-level Youth Informatics team. Since then, they will attend more intensive training courses in preparation for their participation in the national-level Youth Informatics Contest, which is slated to be held in the Mekong Delta province of Ca Mau next month.
