Male student Tran Vinh Toan from Finance Faculty at the Da Nang University of Economics has been crowned the winner of a large-scale contest on breaking financial knowledge named Virtual Finhack-2020 after surpassing over 1,000 other competitors nationwide.

The competition has been organised online for the first time by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), which is the global body for professional accountants.

The competition was open to all students majoring in economics, accounting, finance and business administration at Vietnamese universities.

ACCA ran the competition in two rounds. In round 1, entrants competed in a series of tough mini-tests on accounting and finance majors. The top 30 entrants from the round 1 went through the round 2 final in which they had to solve real-life business situations.
