Winners of contest to seek Da Nang's ambassadors of reading culture announced
The top 27 contestants were honoured in a recent awards ceremony of a contest to seek Da Nang’s ambassadors of reading culture.

Three of them were awarded the title of ‘Typical Ambassador of Reading Culture’, and the remainder received ‘Da Nang Ambassador of Reading Culture’ title.
Co-hosted by the municipal departments of Education and Training, Culture and Sports and Information and Communications, the contest aimed to create reading habits in local residents, and look for those who can inspire lifelong reading habits amongst the whole community.
Since its official launch in February, a sum of 22,896 entries from all primary, junior and senior high school pupils citywide were submitted to the contest’s organsiers.
The contestants were required to present their thoughts and feelings about their most favourite books, as well as their ideas and initiatives to develop a healthy reading habit in local residents.
Either writings with each containing 800 words or 3-minute-long video clips, either in Vietnamese or in English, were accepted.
The top 20 entries will be selected to go advance to the national-level contest and winners of this national contest is scheduled to be announced in September.
