To grasp this opportunity, the Da Nang-based DataHouse Asia Consulting JSC has developed an online learning platform for Vietnamese senior high school pupils called XAGOe.
Mr Nguyen Xuan Huy, Director of the DataHouse Asia Consulting JSC cum the founder of the XAGOe project, said he came up with the idea of the project when seeing his daughter homeschooling during school closures. He, however, added his daughter was not interested in joining in online classes due to the lack of direct face-to-face interaction with her teachers and friends.
Since then, Mr Huy has nurtured a dream of creating an online learning platform to allow pupils to create their challenging subject tests with time options, customize levels of difficulty, and invite friends to take up their challenges.
Officially launched in late June, XAGOe is the first real-time knowledge arena in Viet Nam which provides a new, natural, exciting, and remarkable way of learning. The educational platform provides a completely free knowledge training platform for 10th to 12th graders.
By applying gamification and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, XAGOe helps pupils improve their free time quality by combining learning with playing while continuing to interact with their peers. They can make self-study more motivating and exciting by unblocking the next knowledge levels. To make it fun, XAGOe allows pupils to compete with others using XAGOe Coins, leader-board ranking, power-up level system, and a rewarding system to bring more excitement to the students.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hieu, a 12th grader at the Hoa Vang Senior High School, shared she knew about XAGOe by watching the product advertisement on social network sites. When she knew this platform was a startup project of the city’s technology company, she did not hesitate to register to experience the product.
“What I like most about this platform is that the questions are very good and they are divided into levels ranging from easy to difficult. I think XAGOe will be useful for my friends, especially those who are about to sit this year’s National Senior High School Graduation Examinations” Hieu said.
Director Huy said that XAGOe is providing a total of 12,000 multiple-choice questions for all subjects, taken from the online data source of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training.
He plans to build a network of ‘educational ambassadors’ who are school teachers citywide in order to develop more questions for users.
“By developing the XAGOe application, we are aiming at providing 23 million Vietnamese students with an educational platform which allows them to study more proactively and boost up excitement and efficiency. With XAGOe, our ambition is to build a better Viet Nam by helping its future generations relieve study pressure and go extra miles with education” Mr Huy emphasised.
