Da Nang's high scorers in national senior high school graduation exams eye to become talented doctors
Two talented candidates from Da Nang have won the highly remarkable results in the recently-organised Viet Nam's national senior high school graduation exams. Not only does this annual make-or-break event fetch learners a high-school diploma but it also determines admission to universities and junior colleges nationwide.

One is Nguyen Le Vu, a graduate from the Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted, who is the only one in Viet Nam to have gained the maximum scores in this all-important exam. The other, Tran Thanh Tinh from the Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School, earned the highest point in the Group A consisting of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry recorded in the city.
Interestingly, given their outstanding academic achievements, the duo’s ambitious dream of becoming highly-qualified doctors after their tertiary graduation is highly likely to come true.
On Wednesday morning, a happy and joyful atmosphere filled Vu’s house as he has been admitted to the well- renowned Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
During the 3 years of senior high school study, thanks to the self discipline to create the pressure for more efforts, Vu recorded excellent academic results, receiving high applause from her teachers and coursemates.
His good study was built up by his diligence, firmly grasping lessons in the class, practising tough exercises, and acquiring more knowledge through the Internet.

Revealing his secrets of being good at Mathematics, Vu focuses on thoroughly grasping the background knowledge of the subject, regularly spending time solving as many Maths problems as possible, and picking up more knowledge from the internet.

Apart from achieving the highest points in the Group A recorded in the city, Tinh has taken his family and peers by surprise as he gained the second highest scores in the Group B of Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.
Tinh said had been painstakingly preparing for the tough exams like any of his peers. With the sprit of fondness for learning, the strong-willed girl never surrendered himself to problematic exercise in the natural science subjects. Thanks to this, his proficiency in these tough subjects have been enhance considerably.
The talent pupil said, in his aspirations, he has always longed to become a doctor as the fact that the medical profession matches his careful personality. In particular, given his high English skills, Tinh will actively access as much as knowledge, especially about advanced scientific research into medicine in the world, to pursue his ambition of becoming a good doctor in the future.
