Around 500 young people attend Festival for Innovative Startups
As many as 500 Youth Union members, students and pupils across Da Nang, on Saturday, attended the municipal-level Festival 2020 for Innovative Startups.

Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh, and municipal Fatherland Front Committee Chairwoman Dang Thi Kim Lien made their attendance at this event.
Hosted by the Da Nang Youth Union and the municipal Department of Science and Technology, the one-day event offered young people citywide the good opportunity to experience innovative tech products, as well as meet with technological experts who provided them with their valuable technological innovations-related knowledge.
Within the framework of the event, the Da Nang Startup Conference and Exhibition (SURF 2020) was organised in the city. This was the first time the event had adopted the use of the virtual reality platform vrFairs.
SURF 2020 featured up to 80 startup booths involving such aspects as tourism, agriculture, biotechnology, healthcare, education, information technology, electronics, telecommunications and renewable energy.

To mark the event, the Da Nang Youth Union and the municipal Department of Science and Technology jointly launched a Scientific Research Contest 2021 for Students across the city. The contest aimed to seek best ideas to helping Da Nang develop itself into a more modern and smarter city in Viet Nam.
Also on the same day, the Da Nang Youth Union partnered with the municipal Young Entrepreneurs' Association to organise a workshop entitled 'Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) with Creative Thinking' in the city. The event offered the attendees an overview of Industry 4.0, plus creative thinking skills.
Also on Saturday, the final round of the Da Nang Youth Union-launched contest for innovative startup ideas took place in the city.
The 15 finalists presented their ideas as well as their plans to realise the before a panel of judges.
As a result, first, second, third and consolation prizes were awarded to best ideas with high applicability.
