Da Nang's most outstanding teachers honoured
Twenty-five teachers across Da Nang have been recognised as the city's most outstanding teachers in the 2019 – 2020 academic year in recognition of their dedication and devotion to Da Nang's education sector.

Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho and municipal People's Committee Permanent Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh attended the honour ceremony on Friday morning.
Addressing the event, Vice Chairman Chinh highly lauded many fundamental and comprehensive renovations in locally-developed training programmes over the past academic year.
Noticeably, there was an encouraging increase in the proportion of students boasting excellent academic results, especially those who brought home notable awards from domestic and international-level competitions.
Mr Chinh also pledged that, given the municipal authorities’ more support and preferential heed, a safe and healthy educational environment would be guaranteed for the sake of pupils’ comprehensive development in the coming time.

Of special note, Vice Chairman Chinh urged functional local bodies to assist pupils in suburb Hoa Vang District hard hit by recent storms and floods to overcome their difficulties in life and continue their academic pursuit.
Also at the event, a total of 26 groups were awarded with the Emulation Flags granted by the national government, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Da Nang People's Committee respectively.
Likewise, 17 groups were offered Certificates of Merit by the municipal administration. Also, 8 groups and 52 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training. In particular, three highly experienced teachers were recommended to received the national title of ‘Meritorious Teacher’.
