Da Nang promotes seafood quality control methods
The Da Nang International Institute of Technology (DNIIT) under the University of Da Nang has already made the debut of a practical project to boost the research and applications of rapid analysis methods combined with multidimensional data processing and machine learning in controlling the quality of some kinds of seafood.
The project is being implemented by DNIIT and its partners, namely the International Institute of Technology under the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology under the Ha Noi University of Science and Technology.
Focus will be on building a specific database for controlling some of morphological, nutritional and safety characteristics of tuna, mackerel, and scad.
Also, rapid analysis methods combined with multidimensional data analysis software systems will be developed to release safety warnings on the above-mentioned types of seafood.
Since 2017, an interdisciplinary research group that consists of highly qualified experts and scientists from DNIIT and France-based Coote d'Azur University has carried out the research and application of the advanced technologies in food management in Viet Nam.
