Da Nang ties up with Sweden for science education cooperation
Emerged on the spotlight of the Wednesday webinar between Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh and Boras City’s leaders in Sweden was intensive discussions on the implementation of the cooperative project on science education for sustainable development in Da Nang.

Funded by the Swedish International Center for Local Democracy (ICLD), the project is expected to run until September 2022.
Addressing the virtual meeting, Vice Chairman Chinh highly lauded the project’s significance in promoting incubation and innovation activities, as well as enhancing the scientific research and entrepreneurship spirit amongst the young across the city.
In particular, the meeting saw the mutual consent amongst leaders of the two cities regarding the major objectives of the projects to raise the young’s awareness of sustainable development goals of the United Nations through the support in terms of experience exchanges and techniques from the NAVET, which is the science center for Boras city and the surrounding region.
Vice Chairman Chinh hoped that more highly feasible and practical action activities would be carried out in Da Nang within the framework of the project in the time ahead so that the capacity of scientific education, associated with sustainable development goals for the young in Da Nang could be enhanced considerably.
A representative from Boras revealed that the project is set to assist Da Nang in establishing a tripartite cooperation model (administration-business-school) that is similar to the model at Sweden’s NAVET science centre.
Of special note, a science and technology centre will be built for teenagers under the project, with the integration of incubation and innovation, to promote scientific research and startups amongst the public across Da Nang.
