Developed by a namesake company headquartered in Son Tra District, Da Nang, the ‘TOP Sinh Vien’ (TOP Students) has risen to fame as a helpful social network platform where students across the country can freely vote their universities and share their student lives.

‘TOP Sinh Vien’ made its debut in July 2019 with only 10 staff members who were tertiary undergraduates and graduates across Da Nang during its initial operating period.

Initially, the staff sought and published documents, images, general information and training programmes offered by a total of more than 200 universities and junior colleges nationwide on the ‘TOP Sinh Vien’ social network.

Then, many exciting competitions have been organised on this social network in a bid to increase visitor numbers. Included are contests to vote for the best university logo, the best university library, and the universities with the most interesting check-in spots.

One of the highly-appreciated programmes implemented effectively by ‘TOP Sinh Vien’ this year was the ‘Peer Mentoring - Students Helping One Another’.

No one knows what it’s like to be a student like other students do. This is one of the reasons that such peer mentoring programme under which one experienced student helps another one, attracted a great deal of attention from students nationwide, and public applause at large.

Under the programme, 3rd and 4th year students who have good academic results and show their active engagement in extracurricular activities registered as mentors to introduce freshmen to how to choose subjects and how to study effectively, as well as help them understand how their ambitions fit into employment choices.

In addition, numerous images and articles about the most outstanding students in universities nationwide have been published on this social network in a bid to inspire and motivate others to make significant improvement strides.

Currently, ‘TOP Sinh Vien’ now operates on mobile app and at the website http://topsinhvien.com.

In November, TOP Sinh Vien’ was one of the most outstanding startup projects on display at an exhibition at the National Innovative Entrepreneurship Day (Techfest Viet Nam 2020) hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The Da Nang-made startup project has been named among the top 100 Track of Startup Wheel 2020 in Viet Nam which was co-organised by the Viet Nam Business Startup Support Centre (BSSC) and the Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association.

It has also been named amongst the top 50 of the Startup Viet 2020 contest hosted by VnExpress online newspaper.
