AI Accelerator Challenge 2021 opens for registration

Registration is now open for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Accelerator Challenge 2021 (AAC 2021) which is hosted by the VSV Foundation under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and is funded by the Australian Embassy.

AAC 2021 is specifically designed for any individuals and teams across Viet Nam who want to contribute to Viet Nam’s growth by using AI technology.

The programme, themed ‘AI in Pandemic - Adapting to the New Normal’, aims to seek the best ideas for rolling out artificial intelligence-driven innovation into such aspects as finance, electronics, telecommunications, agriculture, healthcare, education, transportation, and smart city building.

Additionally, AAC 2021 is expected to assist Viet Nam to drive its post-pandemic economic recovery, as well as to foster the development of a vibrant AI startup environment.

Entrants will have the opportunity to undertake a four-week online training course. The top 5 teams will be awarded prizes, including a service support package of 500 million VND, a business promotion and mentoring course worth 200 million VND, and seed funding of up to 200 million VND (with no equity required).

The programme is running from February to August, and it is now open for registration until midnight on 25 March.

AAC 2021 is sponsored by the Aus4Innovation - a cooperation programme between the Vietnamese and Australian governments during the 2018-2022 period with a total budget of 11 million AUD (7.05 million USD) to strengthen the innovation system and prepare for the digital future of Viet Nam.
