In a great effort to speed up Viet Nam’s digital transformation, the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has set a target of at least about 50,000 people across the country accessing updates on digital transformation and a minimum of 30,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) experiencing digital platforms every year.

Besides, a counseling network of at least 100 organisations and individuals in total will be set up to promote digital transformation in the country.

The aforementioned targets are set under the national programne which aims to help SMEs accelerate digital transformation in the burgeoning Industry 4.0.

Further information is available at http://smedx.vn and http://smedx.mic.gov.vn on which SMEs can access the latest digital platforms.

Besides, under the programme, training courses, and consulting and supporting services, will be offered to the participating businesses.

A recent survey conducted by the Viet Nam Software and IT Service Association (VINASA) revealed only 15 percent of enterprises in Viet Nam are embarking on the digital transformation process.
