The Da Nang government has asked health officials to make a plan for taking swab samples of about 16.296 people who are candidates sitting for the upcoming  10th-grade entrance exams for the 2021-2022 school year, along with staff directly involved in the exams to test for COVID-19.

Tests will be conducted in involved personnel, including staff serving at exam venues, on June 12, and in candidates on the following day, June 13.

In particular, the results of testing of swab samples of Examination Board members taken on June 6 are negative for the virus.

The Da Nang Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will perform a 'pooled test' with samples of up to 10 people in order to save time and resources. If pooled sample is positive all individual samples in that “pool” group are tested. If the pooled sample is negative assume all samples within the pool are negative. Their test results are expected to be ready soonest.
