In the academic year 2021 - 2022, the University of Science and Technology under the University of Da Nang will open the tertiary course in Automotive Engineering, which is the branch of engineering which deals with designing, manufacturing, mechanical mechanisms as well operations of automobiles. It is also an introduction to vehicle engineering which includes cars, motorcycles, trucks and buses.

The admission to the new course will be based on candidates’ scores at the national junior high school graduation exam 2021 with 2 subject combinations, namely Maths - Physics – Chemistry or Maths - Physics - English.

The Automotive Engineering course will be upgraded from the available Automotive Engine which has run for more than 45 years.

The Automotive Engineering training programme meets the national qualification frameworks, consisting of a 4-year training period for bachelor's degree (130 credits) and full-time specialised integrated training for bachelor's and engineer's degrees with a duration of 5 years (180 credits).

Automotive Industry is a gigantic sector and nowadays, it is one of the indispensable parts of the industry as it plays an important role in the commutation. This market, however, is facing a shortage of human resources. This industrial sector is expected to emerge as a strong development trend in Viet Nam in the near future.
