FPT donates 1,000 devices for online learning to needy Da Nang pupils

In an active response to the ‘Telecommunications services and computers for children’ programme recently launched by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the FPT Corporation, one of the largest information technology companies in Viet Nam, has pledged to donating 1,000 online learning support devices to disadvantaged pupils across Da Nang, one of the dozens of the corporations’ premises in the country.

The devices with pre-installed software can help convert TVs into useful online learning support tools. 

Till date, FPT Da Nang Urban Joint Stock Company, belonging to FPT Corporation, has donated 240 devices for online learning to pupils residing in Thanh Khe, Ngu Hanh Son and Hoa Vang districts. The remainder of the aforementioned donation batch will be allocated to eligible pupils.

Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen highly lauded the FPT Corporation for have joined forces with the city to implement the ‘Telecommunications services and computers for children’ programme.

Vice Chairwoman Yen also call for even more contribution from the whole community so that disadvantaged pupils can effectively access online courses amid on-campus schooling halted due to COVID-19 as well as adapt themselves to teaching and learning methods in the coming time. 

According to the latest report released by the municipal Department of Education, more than 7,500 Da Nang pupils do not have enough material conditions to access online learning.
