The Viet Nam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) under the University of Da Nang held the online opening ceremony of the academic year 2021 - 2022 and presented ‘giant’ awards to the valedictorian, salutatorian and the top students having the highest entrance score.

During this year's enrollment season, the school exceeded the previously - set targets in terms of quality and quantity with more than 1,300 out of the 10,000 applications admitted, bringing the total students to over 4,000 students.

In the academic year 2021 - 2022, $7.7 million worth of ODA from the Korean government will be spent on developing VKU into a leading university in Viet Nam and seeking a berth in the world rankings with an advanced governance model, smart and modern learning environment by 2026.

At the opening ceremony of this school year, the scholarship worth VND35 million was presented to the valedictorian, whilst 25VND million and VND 15 million for the second and third-highest-ranked ones respectively.

Also, VND10 million was given out to each member of the top 10 student with the highest entrance scores.

Other scholarships valued at VND2 million each went to 11 freshmen with difficult circumstances.
