Da Nang hosts virtual events to drive digital transformation

The Viet Nam-South Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) under the University of Da Nang, on Saturday, November 13, held a series of online science and technology events.

Most notable among them were the 10th Conference on Information Technology and its Applications (CITA 2021), and a webinar to connect and promote scientific development and digital transformation in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions.

Initiated in 2012, CITA, organized annually by VKU, is a series of national scientific conferences on information technology and applications in various aspects.

This year's event received 100 scientific articles from more than 300 domestic and foreign authors, 40 of them were written entirely in English.

In which, 55 articles were selected to present at 10 parallel online sessions, and they were involved in such aspects as data science and artificial intelligence, image and natural language processing, software technology and information systems, digital economy,communication network, digital transformation and smart city.

Within the framework of the CITA 2021, the 2nd edition of a webinar on connecting and promoting scientific development and digital transformation in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions was held under the chairmanship of VKU and the Viet Nam Club of Faculties - Institutes - School - Universities of Information and Communication Technology (FISU).

The intention of the event was to improve the quality of training and scientific research in information technology, digital economy and digital transformation in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands, and promote cooperation and intern exchange activities, especially organising large scientific research activities, and alternately hosting CITA.

During the online seminar, participants together discussed new issues in academic and scientific research, and digital transformation, as well as solutions and strategies to connect and promote scientific development and digital transformation.
