Many scientific and technological prizes honoured at 3rd Science and Technology Festival for University Students

On November 13, the University of Da Nang (UDN) partnered with the municipal Department of Science and Technology to organise the 3rd edition of the municipal-level Science and Technology Festival for University Students in offline and online formats.

This year's event took "Journey from science and technology to creative and innovative entrepreneurship" as its theme.

During the program, prize winners at the municipal Department of Science and Technology to launch a Scientific Research Contest 2021 for Students were honoured. In particular, 1 first, 2 second, 3 third and 1 consolation prizes, totaling VND79 million, went to outstanding projects.

Most notably, a group of students from the University of Technical Education excellently won the first prize of VND20 million in cash for their research project on antioxidant capacities of some natural phenolic compounds by chemical calculation method combined with experimental comparison.

Visitors to the event had a chance to experience dozens of technological products created by Da Nang’s students which won notable prizes at the municipal-level Scientific Research Contest for Students over the 2020-2021 academic year, and the municipal-level Contest 2021 for Innovative Startups. Also, there was a online exchange event with famous speakers and scientists nationwide.

On this occasion, UDN and the city's Department of Science and Technology entered into a cooperative agreement on science and technology research and development, and innovation and entrepreneurship.
