More than VND 1.4 billion VND in scholarships given to Da Nang students
On November 17, the University of Da Nang (UDN) held a ceremony to award scholarships to poor students and those whose families are stuck in difficulties triggered by COVID-19.

Specifically, 20 poor studious students received scholarships, worth VND 5million each, from the Da Nang Study Encouragement Association.
Also, scholarships, valued at VND3 million each, funded by the Hai Van Branch of the Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV), went to 150 students in difficult circumstances.
The Trade Union organisation of the UDN presented scholarships, worth VND 3 million each, to 30 disadvantaged students and 12 students who are children of UDN’s lecturers.
Another 35 students received laptops, valued at VND 12 million each, sponsored by the VAS Steel Viet My Limited Liability Company.
On the occasion, the UDN honoured and awarded 9 students who gained top marks in this year's university enrollment with VND 10 million each, and 8 students who directly enrolled at the city’s universities with VND 3 million each.
Besides, 34 students who achieved outstanding results during the 2020-2021 school year got VND2.5 million each.
The total value of scholarships and awards given out for the aforementioned students was over VND1.4 billion.
Also on the same day, the University of Technical Education held a ceremony to honour 2 students who got top marks and 2 runner-ups in this year's university enrollment.
Also, 17 other students were honoured for their outstanding academic results and active involvement in the university’s community activities during the 2020-2021 academic year.
The university granted 44 scholarships, totaling nearly VND 70 million, to its poor students.
