University of Da Nang receives Third Class Labor Medal from President of Laos

In the morning of November 18, the University of Da Nang (UDN) held a ceremony to celebrate 39th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20) and receive a Third-class Labour Medal from the President of Lao People's Democratic Republic.

In his speech delivered at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, President of the UDN sent his congratulations to all leaders, teachers, officials and employees of the UDN on the Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

He also took the opportunity to thank the Ministry of Education and Training, the Party, government and people of Da Nang, and provinces, cities, localities, businesses and partners in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands region as well as the whole country for their special care and active support for the UDN’s education and training work over recent years.

President Vu unveiled UDN’s main tasks over the 2021-2022 academic year of successfully implementing the dual goals of ensuring COVID-19 prevention and control, while completing this year’s educational and training task with the motto "Continuing to improving the quality of education and scientific research activities for ensuring sustainable development".

At the ceremony, authorized by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Lao Consul General Viengxay Phommachanh awarded a Third-class Labour Medal to UDN in honour of its outstanding achievements and important contributions in the cause of education and training, as well as providing high-quality human resources for Lao localities, hereby significantly contributing to deepening Viet Nam-Laos cooperation relations in education.

On this occasion, authorized by the Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Ngo Thi Kim Yen awarded the ‘National Emulation Fighter’ title to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Tu Hai, Dean of Chemistry Faculty of the Da Nang University of Education for his outstanding achievements in the city’s patriotic emulation movements.

Also at the ceremony, 12 groups were presented Emulation Flags from the Ministry of Education and Training, whilst the Da Nang University of Economics received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training in recognition of its typical and outstanding achievements in emulation movements during the 2020-2021 academic year.
