Trung said he and his teammates are not alone on the path of commercializing biological products in serve for organic agriculture because the national government is prioritizing the development of sustainable and environmental-friendly organic agriculture with high added value.
“Today, atomic energy in general and radiation technology in particular have affirmed their role in almost all fields of economic and social life, from agriculture to industry, and the environment to human healthcare. In particular, radiation technology is not only irradiation to create clean products for exports but also promotes sustainable development. Initially, the TED Technology cooperated with the Vinagamma Center to commercialize biological products derived from natural polymers such as polysaccharides from shrimp shells, squid shells and brown seaweed which are produced by radiation circuit cutting method" added Trung.
According to the municipal Department of Science and Technology, the TED Technology Co., Ltd. is operating under the spin-off model which is a start-up model based on the outcome of scientific research.
The company-made products is the commercialization of research results of the Viet Nam Atomic Energy Institute. This model is highly appreciated by the department.
Currently, the TED Technology company is focusing on developing the domestic market, and promoting its products to organic vegetable and fruit farms and families growing clean, green fruit and vegetables.
All of the company’s products meet national standards ISO 9001-2015 and ISO 14000-2015.
Initially, the company planned to put its products on the market in April 2021, however, its plan was postponed until early November due to the complicated developments of the pandemic.
According to the assessment from the Department of Science and Technology, the establishment of the Vinagamma Center in Da Nang is a typical result of a cooperation programme between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Da Nang People's Committee. The programme aims to promote the application of radiation technology and radioisotope techniques for socio-economic development in Da Nang and Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions.
According to the Technology Management Office under the municipal Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Science and Technology always encourages the development of innovative start-up models based on technology and scientific and technological research. Of which, radiation technology is the advanced foundation to help create outstanding product characteristics.
The cooperation between TED Technology Co., Ltd. and the Vinagamma Center to apply and commercialize research results of radiation technology in order to provide biological products for the agricultural industry to help self-control products to replace for imported goods.
With the task of promoting the application of radiation technology in the city, the Department of Science and Technology is interested in supporting the Vinagamma Center, the TED Technology Co., Ltd and other enterprises to successfully apply the research results about radiation technology in the city.
