How to promote the role of innovative startups in COVID-19 response and economic recovery was in discussions at a webinar jointly organised on Friday by the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology and the National Creative Startup Support Centre.

The event was as part of the Social Impact Village within the framework of TECHFEST VIETNAM 2021 with the aim of highlighting the role of startups creating social impacts in socio-economic development; communicating products and services of startups to create an impact on investors; Vietnamese and international community; promote the development of startups creating an impact.

At the virtual event, a representative of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology briefed other participants on Da Nang's innovation startup ecosystem.

Till date, Da Nang has formed its own startup ecosystem with six incubators, two creative spaces, nine co-working zones, four investment funds, 10 startup clubs and innovative startup enterprises.

The Da Nang Innovative Startup Support Centre has been put into operation, whilst the local authorities are on track to promote the establishment of the National Innovative Startup Support Centre in Da Nang.

Many digital transformation and IT solutions have also been developed, thereby affirming the role of innovation in promoting COVID-19 prevention and economic development with such outstanding solutions as the virtual reality exhibition and smart tourism models.
