The Da Nang Innovative Startup Support Centre under the municipal Department of Science and Technology is in a race against time to complete the building of the Da Nang Innovative Startup Portal in a bid to ensure that it will be put into use on schedule.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Long from the Da Nang Software Development Center under the University of Da Nang - the portal software developer, highlighted that the portal will offer its users useful information on latest technologies, creative ideas and innovations.

He added the portal will feature specific functions for both visitors and members. Members of the portal are individuals and units that are granted access rights and provided with specific roles; the editorial board who are in charge of news content, articles, and comment management; and startup network members.

Start-up network members are part of the city’s innovative startup ecosystem, and the community of start-ups, investors, experts, regulatory agencies and support organizations such as incubators, research institutes, schools, corporations, large-scale companies, entrepreneurs, etc...

The portal is a discussion forum that allows users to hold conversations about startup activities in the form of posted messages, as well as collect opinions and receive feedbacks and recommendations from organizations and individuals on startup policies, plans and events in the city.

By visiting https://startupdanang.vn/, visitors can access freshly-issued support policies and programmes for startup businesses, startup-related administrative procedures, detailed information about investment funds, and the latest news about startup activities in the city and the country as a whole.

In addition, the portal will integrate and make links with databases and websites of other startup portals for the sake of users' information search and lookup. News and articles can be compiled by members of the editorial board or posted by members on their member pages and then published in the news column for information and promotion.

According to Deputy Director of the Da Nang Innovative Startup Support Centre Huynh Sang, his centre set a target of building the Da Nang Innovative Startup Portal in early 2021. The portal then has been put into trial use since July 2021. Over the past times, the centre and related units have been ramping up their efforts to perfect categories and user functions in the most appropriate way.

“We hope that, once fully operational, the portal will answer most of the questions for the startup community, and become an open forum for members to discuss, raise their opinions and make suggestions about the city’s innovation start-up activities” noted Mr Huynh Sang.

He also highlighted the vital role of the portal in collecting innovation startup-related information from members and guests, thereby making plans for innovation startup activities across the city.
