These orphans are being raised by the FPT Corporation at the Hy Vong (Hope) Boarding School in the FPT Urban Area in Da Nang.
Under the deal, the Phan Chau Trinh University will fully cover healthcare costs for 1,000 students during their studying at the school. Included will be periodical medical check-ups, medical examination and treatment, health counseling and support, and psychological treatment.
Additionally, the university will offer 200 full scholarships to students who apply to its health science majors. The enrollment will be done annually according to the university’s enrollment regulations until 200 students are granted scholarships.
After nearly a year of establishment, the Hy Vong (Hope) Boarding School for children orphaned due to the COVID-19 pandemic has received active support and great contributions from many generous units and organisations nationwide.
In particular, the Thien Long Group has just donated 5,000 gifts containing tools supporting learning, playing and creative activities, each worth VND400,000, to the eligible pupils from 2021 to 2025.
Meanwhile, the budget carrier Vietjet Air pledges to provide free air tickets for school students to bring them home at least twice a year.
