Da Nang students win first prize in national-level climate competition
The article entitled ‘We learn about climate change and how to reduce the impacts of natural disasters in Da Nang’ created by a group of students namely Nguyen Ninh Giang, Vo Thi Thoai My and Nguyen Ninh Nguyen from Da Nang-based Chu Van An Junior High School won the first prize in a national-level climate competition.
Third prize went to a group of students namely Le Tran Hoang and Nguyen Nhat Bao Nguyen from Nguyen Van Linh Junior High School, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang for their video clip entitled "Meteorology and hydrology in us".
Launched by the Viet Nam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration, the national-level climate competition was opened to junior and senior high school students nationwide. There were two categories of competition for writing and video awards.
The competion received a combined total of 33,553 entries across the country, of which, 32,954 were articles and 599 were video clips. As a result, these 100 entries made it to the final round of judging, and one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and seven consolation prizes were given out to best entries in the writing and video categories.
