'DaNang Children' mobile app launched
Developed by the Da Nang Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, a mobile app named ‘Tre em DaNang’ (Da Nang Children) has been launched with the aim of promoting the involvement of children and teenagers with issues related to them on digital platforms in an effort to be realised as the Child Friendly City Initiative.
In 2019, Da Nang became the second city in Viet Nam to officially join the Child Friendly City Initiative (CFCI) following Ho Chi Minh City, with support from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Three main features of the app are data warehouse, comments and surveys. In detail, the data warehouse is used for updating latest regulations and policies related to children. In addition, it helps app users find useful information, skills and knowledge to support their learning activities.
The comment function allows children and their parents to send their thoughts, aspirations and opinions concerning issues related to the protection and empowerment of children to authorities at all levels for consideration to help resolve their proposed problems.
The survey fuction is designed to collect opinions from children and their parents before creating plans and issuing policies related to children.
The app can be downloaded directly on an Android device through the Google Play, and it can be also installed on IOS from the App Store.
