Final round of Informatics Olympiad in Central and Central Highlands of Viet Nam
On Saturday and Sunday, the Viet Nam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang, the Department of Education and Training and Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted co-chaired the final round of the 3rd Informatics Olympiad in the Central and Central Highlands of Viet Nam.

The final round attracted 643 participants, of which 93 were from the Super Cup group (for 12th graders specializing in Informatics and in the national team competing for excellent students in Informatics); 329 candidates for the Informatics specialized group (for students in the 10th and 11th grades in specialized/selected classes and high school –level teams) and the 221 remaining ones in the non-specialised group (for high school students).
The competition was conducted on online and face to face forms.
Previously, the qualifying round took place in the virtual form on February 27 with the participation of about 1,100 students from 201 senior and junior high schools in 40 provinces and cities across the country participating in the above-mentioned groups.
The total value of the prizes awarded to the winning students was nearly VND100 million. In addition, the students who win the first, second, and third prizes are given priority for direct admission to VKU and other universities that have separate entrance examinations.
In parallel with the final round, VKU hosted the seminar programme entitled ‘Trends, career opportunities and digital human resource recruitment - the role of stakeholders’.
At the same time, about 1,000 senior high school students in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province participated in the ‘VKU Experience’ festival with many useful activities.
