2022 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award launched

Co-organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Ministry of Science and Technology, the annual Golden Globe Award aims to discover future talents in Science and Technology, as well as stimulate the creative abilities of Vietnamese young people.

This year’s award will be presented to 10 young talents who have the most outstanding research projects or solutions in the five categories of Information and Communications Technology, Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Technology and New Material Technology.

The annual Golden Globe Award is open to Vietnamese citizens under the age of 35 with outstanding achievements in Science and Technology who are studying and carrying out research in the country or abroad.

The applications for the 2022 Golden Globe Award are now available for eligible entrants to apply through www.qcv.tainangviet.vn, and appliants for the Award should be submitted before August 20.

Golden Globe Award winners will receive the "Creative Youth" badges from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, certificates from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, plus prizes and cash rewards worth at least VND 20 million each.

In 2021, the award was given to those working in information technology, digital transformation and automation, medical and pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, environmental technology, and new material technology in order to encourage Vietnamese young people to participate in the fourth industrial revolution in accordance with the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress.

Ten winners were chosen from sixty-six nominees from domestic and foreign educational, training and research institutions. Also in the awarding ceremony, the organizers awarded the outstanding Female Student Award to 20 female students in the field of Science and Technology who are third-year female students with excellent academic and research achievements in information technology, electricity, electronics, and mechanics.
