The FPT Corporation, one of the largest information technology companies in Viet Nam, on Friday afternoon, held ‘Going to school festival’ for the 2022 - 2023 academic year for the first 200 students of the inter-level Hope School in Da Nang. This is a boarding school that takes care and educates children who unfortunately lost their parents due to COVID-19 until they reach early adulthood.

In attendance at the festival were President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, President of the Viet Nam Women's Union Ha Thi Nga, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang along with representatives of the administration of provinces and cities, businesses, organisations and individuals that work hand in hand to nurture the students at the school.

Addressing the meaningful festival, Hope School Chairman - FPT Corporation Chairman Truong Gia Binh and other delegates led student groups to their seats. The bright smiles mixed with pride of the students created many emotional feelings.

With the theme of ‘Spreading love’, the 2022-2023 school year marks the first school year of more than 200 Hope School students from 41 provinces and cities across Viet Nam ‘under the common roof’, with the hope that students will receive the love of the whole society to make their future growth steps.

The bright faces with childish smiles of the first 200 students of Hope School on the first day of school, along with the consensus and joint efforts made by the relevant units to nurture and teach the children in the love connection ceremony really left unforgettable moments in the memory of those attending the event.

Speaking at the festival, President Phuc, on behalf of the Party and State leaders extended the best wishes to the teachers and students of the school.

The President believed that, the students at the Hope School would become loving and happy citizens and intellectuals. He strongly affirmed that teachers would always wholeheartedly love the students, and similarly, companies, organisations and communities are strongly dedicated to caring for them so that they will become useful people for society, for their homeland, for the country as a whole.

Along with meaningful pieces of advice, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent to the school and students the stone picture ‘Uncle Ho and children’, a collection of books and moon cakes as a meaningful message to the children that they always receive a lot of love from society and full of knowledge in the way ahead.

On behalf of Hope School students, Luu Huu Nghi, a 10^th grader, thanked the President and philanthropists for building a boarding school and giving love for him and his peers at the school.

It is known that in September 2021, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation Truong Gia Binh initiated the idea of building the school for children who became orphans due to COVID-19 until they reach early adulthood. 

The Hope School has welcomed the first 200 students in the 2022 - 2023 school year, officially kicking off the mission of becoming a school where they are cared for, loved and trained, thereby growing up and contributing to the construction of the homeland in the future.

This care and training site will be located in FPT City Da Nang, one of the dozens of the corporations’ premises across Viet Nam and hub with modern infrastructures, such as a commercial centre, an international hospital and educational facilities of all stages.

The beneficiaries will access accommodations, care and support, and general education training from FPT School and higher education training from FPT University and FPT Polytechnic, its vocational college.

These training courses at the boarding school cover such majors as technology, multimedia design, science, and more. The initiative, which would be carried out for 20 years, is worth over US$ 3.5 million per year.

In addition to the internal resources of FPT Corporation and its founding members, over the past time, the Hope School has received many kinds of great support from organisations and enterprises such as The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Thien Long Group, Phuc Tam Fund, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), Tan Long Group and Phan Chau Trinh University. They together provided some necessities to take care of the children's lives and studies.
