Scholarships presented to poor first-year students in Da Nang and Quang Nam

The Tuoi Tre Newspaper recently worked with Youth Unions of Quang Nam Province and Da Nang to organise a ceremony in Hoi An City to award scholarships to 100 first-year students in difficult circumstances in Quang Nam and Da Nang.

This year, the Quang Nam - Da Nang Club to give strength to students to go to school granted scholarships totaling more than 1.5 billion VND to 100 first -year students in Quang Nam and Da Nang , each valued at VND 15 million. Scholarship recipients are shining examples of hard study despite difficult circumstances, and filial piety.

To mark this occasion, bonuses totaling VND 150 million were awarded to 10 students who have received scholarships from the Quang Nam- Da Nang Club as they were honoured for good academic achievements despite difficult circumstances and enthusiastic involvement in community. The bonuses were funded by the Trung Nam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company - a member of the Quang Nam - Da Nang Club.

In addition, the Vinacam Study Promotion Fund of the Vinacam Group Joint Stock Company donated laptops for four first-year students living under very difficult circumstances.

The 550th edition of the Tuoi Tre Newspaper- launched ‘For Bright Future’scholarship program kicked off with the scholarship award ceremony in Hoi An City. Over the past 20 years, more than 22,000 poor first-year students have received scholarships under the Tuoi Tre Newspaper- launched program.
